Florida Children's Environmental Health Alliance Logo
Established to identify, validate, and develop solutions to address the adverse health effects to
children occurring as a consequence of exposure to environmental hazards.
FCEHA adopted the Caduceus* which refers to our innate transformative power. Indeed, FCEHA strongly
believes in the approach of empowering fellow humans to recognize their unlimited potential to heal
themselves using their own spirit, mind, and body by way of teaching, research, and service.
The circle is an emblem of inclusiveness and unity. It highlights the interconnectedness of all things
and the need for us to unite using holistic approach to help children live and thrive in a safe and
achieving milieu.
The house and cars remind us that both can be potential sources of harmful pollutants and that we must
prevent children from exposure to environmental hazards that may impair their innate ability to thrive
from the moment they are born. Children must and can live long and prosper, once free from
environmental hazards of any nature.

snakes copulating, and to separate them stuck his staff between them. Immediately he was turned
into a woman, and remained so for seven years, until he was able to repeat his action, and change
back to male. The transformative power in this story, strong enough to completely reverse even
physical polarities of male and female, comes from the union of the two serpents, passed on by
the wand. Tiresias' staff, complete with serpents, was later passed on to Hermes..."
